End of 2004..

Met up with the pongs last nite for our xmas exchange of presents..I cannot remember how long we have had this yearly thingee..But it sure warms my heart to think abt the times we have spent together..and I can already picture the older us still having the exchange of presents, however this time with our hubbies/partners/children in the background..hehe...Nevertheless, thankies to all my friends for the lovely presents you guys have showered me with..i like every single one of them cos they are from you..my dear friends!!

The same feeling came over mi when i was having a drink with mich just now..A sudden wave of nostalgia hit me..and memories of how the friendship btwn mi and her developed..from poly mates to the best of friends..I wonder if its the time of the year..or perhaps i have really grown older (seeing the younger crowd in mambo clearly confirms the fact), both physically (sighz), and mentally..Being away from home and love ones for 2 years has definitely made me a more matured individual..thinking back, 2004 is definitely a year of ups and downs for mi..ties with my mum has grown closer..I think less for myself and more for my family..I try to be more patient with my aged grandparents..Jeff and i had separated but we got back together again and this time..our bond stronger...Jeff has ventured into a new line..New friendships have been made..and some present ones weaker and some stronger..Time really flies huh..

I look forward to the coming year..2005..cos i can finally finish my degree and enter another phase of my life..and to pursue my dreams or rather go closer to them..And i take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy 2005 ahead..a year filled with love, joy, luck, hope, to be blessed with good health and really hope there will be less turbulence, sufferings and harm in this unpredictable world we live in..

Xmas..

Merry xmas and happy boxing day pple! Hope everyone had a great xmas..Well, as for me, xmas eve was spent at a fren's condo having bbq with jeff and friends..It was alrite just that siyao ( the owner of the condo) bought v little chicken wings..and i didnt get to eat a single one..*sobz* The guys walloped everything before i could get to the wings..After the bbq..we just sat around and played drinking games..as usual..we finished 2 bottles of chivas and some red wine..with compliments from Max..Hengz i didnt get drunk..lol...Oh yah i forgot to mention in the day, we watched kungfu..there were oni some parts which were hilarious..but overall it was quite alrite lar..

Xmas day was spent with Jeff..

Boxing day was spent with Jeff too..hehe...Oh yah..i just discovered this 2 new shops selling korean skincare and cosmetics at Bugis..the prices are really cheap..for eg. nail polishes at 2.50 ( big bottle), lip glosses at 7.90..and the skincare prdts are made with natural ingredients and they smell yummyy!! Yeah..i bought a clear lip gloss, foot gel, a base coat and a pinky nail polish..hehe..i m pretty excited to try the products!!

Guess its the after clubbing effect..here i am feeling sleepy ( but im too full to sleep now), bored, and just blue..Been feeling blue lately, and i cant seem to explain why...Perhaps its just PMS? Hope so..
Perhaps i miss jeff..sighz oh well...
Went to Zouk and Liquid Room last nite..The last time i stepped into Zouk was abt 2 years ago!! Yesh..2 years!! Thats a bloody long time lah!! Seriously, after seeing the crowd there, I am quite convinced i have aged..*boohoooohoooo* But its good to see the synchronised dance actions again...thanks to the regulars standing on the central platform..We left Zouk at around 12 plus and walked to Liquid Room..Well, that was the first time i went to the Slinky Night..Well, it was gd..as usual...Liquid Room is gd man...hehe..Met a few familiar faces there..But my lower back was aching so i didnt dance much..must be the heels i have been walking around in for the entire day yesterday..
Oh yah, both clubs were packed!!

Anyway, i still have got one more present to buy and i would have completed my xmas shopping!!! Seriously, shopping for xmas presents are not an easy feat..like wat Josephine said, the closer you are to that person, the harder it is! I totally agree man..Cos definitely if you are shopping for a close fren, you will want to find the best present for them..And you have heaps of factors to consider from the colour to whether they will like it or not based on your level of understanding/closeness to that person..and of cos price for the poor me...:(
Hope I can get to see Jeff later..even for a short while i dont mind..I miss him..

Been a long time

I just realised i have not posted for a long time!! Tsk..Have been going out everyday..catching up with friends..spending time with Jeff..shopping for presents and eating to make myself fat :(

Went Dbl o on friday, that was the first and will be the last time I will go there on a friday. The music was lousyyy..But the company was good..had a gathering with my Uni friends...Kristy curled her hair, and it looked really nice..Was tempted to buy the curler iron too..She recommended Philips....Too bad, i dont have enough cash to buy that...Plus i will be rebonding my hair soon..wont be using it after that too...oh well..shall consider it again when i am working and can use it more frequently!!
Talking abt hair..i think i need a trim soon!!
Have been feeling a lil blue these days..i wonder why..sianz..everything just seems sianz to me..Body not feeling too good as well..Hope I am not falling sick...
Finally met up with Josephine !! We had coffee at the newly opened Coffee Club near Somerset mrt station..Quite a nice place!! And i received birthday and xmas presents from Jo!! aiyoh..you girls really spoil mi le...Thanks Jo for the lovely presents!! You shouldnt have!

Special day for me..

Happy Birthday to me ! Its that special day of the year again..Frankly speaking, i dont feel as excited as i should be as compared to previous years..Guess age really mellows a person..Anyway, I had an awsome day!! To start of with..i had smses and calls coming in at the struck of 12 am and throughout the day..hehe..thanks to all of those who had remembered...i really feel blessed to have such friends like you guys... Then popo gave mi an angbao..
Anyway..Jeff had such a lovely surprise for mi..he called and told mi to open the door for him as per normal when he had reached..to my surprise, i saw a cake with lit candles in his hands hehe..and it is my fav tiramisu!! hiakz..Then mum, Jeff and I headed down to Marche for lunch..thought of going there cos i had always wanted to bring my mum there..Next stop was Levis where mum bought me a 593..hiakz..*happy* This is the third year where i will get a pair of levis for my bday..Last yr was from Jeff, and the yr before was from my popo...nez yr from myself hopefully hehe..
Then we brought mum to Koolook at Far east cos she wanted to make a pair of presentable reading glasses..Its gd that she managed to find a frame she liked..in fact its quite funky ah!! Shall post the pic when i collect it for her tmr k!! haha..
Then after that..Jeff and i went to watch Blade Trinity, recommended by Mich..It was quite gd i feel..the show was very sleek..i dont know why it gave mi that feeling haha..and it presented to us a very futuristic interpretation of vampires and vampire slayers..Then the piggy us went to our usual 'zhi cha' place for dinner at Bugis...Ordered claypot tofu, sambal kangkong and black pepper beef..dinner was awsome man...
I enjoyed myself so much today..thanks to my baby for being such a dear to spend the whole day with mi and half a day with my mum as well. Thanks to mum for doting on me....I was feeling a lil nervous about the 3 of us going out together cos it was the first time..but thank gdness, my mum was chatty haha..and everything went well..yeah...once again,

Hehe..my first birthday presents are from Michelle and Daphne! Thanks heaps girls..shldnt have spent so much! We went crystal jade for dinner..and after that Michelle brought us to a small but very cosy cafe called ' The Secret Garden' , its just opposite Fortune Centre. Anyhow, i got 3 presents in all! Heheh..and they surprised me by giving me the presents at 3 different times in that coffee session! Hiakz..First was a pink sleeveless mango top which was pulled out from Daphne's bag..hehe..then Michelle drew out the 2nd present, Crabtree & Evelyn's Hand Therapy then lastly, another bigger present..was a pink tote! Awww...so sweet of my girlies..hehe..

It was our monthly anniversary, so Jeff took time off to go out with me..Sighz..theres really nothing to do in Singapore man..cant possible watch movie and shop all the time rite..anyway, after around 2 hrs of shopping, we decided to go for ktv at K box! Been such a long time since both of us sang together..i mean just the 2 of us..Haha..and mich and i going again next mon! hiakzz..
Then for dinner, we went to this ramen shop that is situated in Shaw Towers..To start of with, the kimchi ramen i ordered was a disappointment. Instead of the real kimchi, the ramen was in a huge bowl of kimchi FLAVOURED soup with fresh cabbage. How lame is that?! and some fried chicken pieces..on top of that, we shared some fried tofu (cant rem the jap name), and fried siew mai as side dishes..I wasnt feeling ravenous..plus the noodles were up to my liking, so i only ate half..
And after much discussion, i decided to go Newsroom bar with Pauline and Jeff were to join the guys at Iguana pub at Clarke Quay..Hmm..if u guys rem, i did mention i still prefer MW..but Pauline said she prefers Newsroom..so nvm lah..nez time it will be def MW man..
Well, i was feeling fine the whole day at Newsroom, when i suddenly felt nauseous..so i just sat back and relax and hope the feeling will go away..But it didnt..instead, it got worse and i actually puked in the toilet! It was so weird ya noe when i was perfectly sober!!
Sighz..then Pauline suggested we ask Jimmy to give us a lift to join the guys instead...Upon reaching clarke quay, i felt even more nauseous..had to puke again..this time, most of the dinner came out...and i could still smell the oil! ( ok sorry, its a lil gross haha)...
Joined the guys for a bit and i really felt sick..so Jeff and I left earlier..THought the puking would have stopped cos i thought all the dinner was out, well, poor me..it didnt..the last vomitting session, i was vomitting my gastric juices and those secretions..in the middle of the nite..
In all, here is a total count of how many times i puked :

I was so disappointed..cos i thought i had stomach flu and will miss my jolin concert tonite!!..but i am feeling perfectly fine now..*touch wood* Well, i am quite sure the oily food and alcohol didnt really go down very well for me for some reason, will post some pictures of the culprit food..yeah..but i m glad i m well now..Thanks to pauline and jimmy for taking care of me..and to Jeff..though u snored like a pig despite my attempt to wake you up when i left the room in the middle of the nite to puke...That sleepy boy had absolutely no account of the above when i told him bout it this morning..tsk tsk..

Just got back from Siglap Starbucks..Finally met up wif my kor after so much planning haha..and it was actually an impromptu one..And i realised Starbucks dont offer iced cappucino! So lousy..
Anyway..I got to meet Jeff's colleague, without Jeff around haha..Found out that my kor's insurance agent, Jack is actually Jeff's colleague..small world huh..and thanks to kor, i got a lift from Jack upon our first meeting..It so happened that Jack need to pass him some stuff..so ya..Small world man!!

Experience at the Dentist

It was a traumatic experience for me at the dentist yesterday! I finally mustered enough courage to extract the other wisdom tooth that was supposed to be out early this year..I was already feeling nervous when i walked to the dentist with Jeff..
Found out that this extraction wasnt a simple one as the last one i had..this tooth was embedded more deeply in my gums..and that it will require something like a minor operation..the dentist had to section my teeth into half and if it is still lodged, he will need to slice my gums...*arggh* when i heard that..my heart sank even deeper...
The whole ordeal lasted for around an hr...the injections were the most painful!! The circumference of the syringe was bigger than a 50 cent coin! No joke man..then again the needle wasnt that big lah..haha...
I am glad its over..just need to remove the stitches on sunday...Thanks to my girlies that msged/emailed/ tagged on my tagboard on that day..It really meant alot to me to think that it wasnt a big deal to have the tooth extracted but you girls bothered...:) thanks girls!!
Went shopping with Mich at Parkway today...Had a great time maybe cos we havnt shopped there before though i have been there upteen times but its always great to hang out wif my best friend :p
Mich bought a soft toy doggie for her bf's niece..her bday tmr...and the service at tiny toons is lousy man!! Like i was choosing a mug for myself..and there 3 patterns...i was just looking at the other patterns when this sales girl called Jennifer ( i saw her name tag) came over and said..' take this pattern loh( pointed to the one on the rack), i feel the other 2 not nice..( including the one i was holding and i think its not bad) then i said ' i think its ok wat, i was referring to the one i was holding' then she said..no lah..that one not nice lah..wahlau ay..pls loh..i didnt even ask for ur opinion...
then nevermind..when mich was deciding btw the white dog and the beige one..that Jennifer came over on her own accord and said ' the white one is nicer mah..its selling better too'
Then Mich whispered to me ' Didnt ask for your opinion wat' , she said should have answered like this in her face like what ' dao ming si' did in Meteor Garden...Well that Jennifer was relunctant to check if there was a new piece for that dog...only after me and Mich acted that we will go TM to buy instead...then she said she will go and check...
Wahlau wat kind of service is that..in the end..Mich was so pissed off that she decided not to buy from there..hehe..attitude..I LIKE! hehe...
This incident and many other more i have encountered had clearly shown that the level of sincerity in most of the service staff is very low..I told my mum abt it and her view about this is that most of us will have this mentality that i receive the same pay even if i am very nice, helpful or hospitable or not to my customers..why should i waste my energy to be nice?
Sighz..Well, some may say i m not in their shoes, i wont know their situation...Well, to start off with..its not as if i am very demanding..i can say i m very courteous to any sales person..as long as they are courteous and helpful to me!! And i have worked as a sales promoter before!
Oh well..just my thoughts...

Bored..

Just logged into Friendster..and some of the notices posted by my Uni friend on the bulletin board seriously shocked me..There she called her bf, or rather by now ex bf a liar, how he enjoyed his time while she was slogging with her work where he could have helped her..And he actually beats her!! My gdness..shocking!! And all the while, they always look so happy together..oh well..That made mi think of how fragile relationships can be huh...
Went Newsroom Bar..it wasnt planned though..It wasnt too bad..that was the 2nd time i went there after say 3 yrs? But i still prefer Mw..
Then went for dinner with Jeff's family..cos it was his dad's bday..Bought him some good 'tie guan yin' tea leaves..hope i 'scored some pts' *lol* Then while Jeff went to meet his client ( sighs, looks like i m goin to say that line many many times), i headed to this ktv pub called ' Under one roof' at Tanjong Pagar...Jeff came later to join us...In all, we finished off 2 martells among say..8 persons?!
Ok lah..lunch time!! Oh yah..sighz..going to extract my wisdom tooth tmr..wish me luck man!!

Received some really bad news this morning..it seems my hopes of doing my last sem in singapore has been shattered...Sighz..as usual..its not confirmed..Shall update when i finally get the confirmed news...sux..Hate my uni!

I think i should go extract my other wisdom tooth next monday..*scared* Was supposed to extract it in july..but my holidays were too short to lie in bed mah..so i only extracted one..sighz..im scareddd...
